Private Cloud

OEMs with their own dedicated private cloud get extra branding controls: a custom Portal Domain (e.g. yourbrand.on-xyte.com, with window title and favicon), Auth Pages, and Navigation Menu.

User accounts and the portal domain

Your private cloud has its own identity store, separate from Xyte's shared cloud. The portal domain a user signs in on determines which account they are signing in to:

• yourbrand.on-xyte.com — your private cloud
• app.xyte.io — Xyte Connect / Connect+

Because of this, the same email address can be used in both. For example, [email protected] can be a user in your private cloud and, separately, a user of a Connect+ account. These are two independent accounts: separate passwords, separate two-factor enrollment, and no single sign-on between them — a password reset on one does not affect the other.

Partner portal users are the exception

Users of your own partner portal (any user, not only admins) are managed centrally on Xyte's shared cloud, so that email is one account across it rather than two separate ones. The behaviour above applies to your end-customer portal users.
