Overview

Share files with End Customers in a secure and reliable fashion. This tab allows OEMs to upload various file types (e.g. Official firmware releases, Usage manuals, etc).

Adding a file

To add a new file, click the "Upload File" button on the top right.

• File - Select a file to upload. The files are stored on Xyte's servers and are automatically available globally. The total storage limit for each OEM is defined as part of the selected plan.
• File name - Name shown to user.
• Description - Detailed file description.
• File Type - Generic string that can be used to tie a file to a family of commands. E.g. the "Firmware Upgrade" command can be specified only to show End Customers a list of Files marked as "firmware" in their "File Type".
• Version - Specify the Semantic Versioning of the file.
• Checksum - Optional field passed to the device for file validation.
• Signature - Optional field passed to the device for file validation.
• Notes - Internal notes, only visible to the OEM.
• Public Notes - Publicly visible notes.
