Overview

Multiple device types might be tied to a single Model as they share most/all of their capabilities. The Register Device API accepts an optional sub_model field of type string. This field is shown to End Customer to better distinguish between device types.

To offer a visual cue, OEMs can define a custom image for the whole Model and overrides for specific sub models.

Adding

To add a submodel image override, lick the "Add sub-model" button on the top right.

• Image - An image depicting the sub-model.
• Sub-model name - Must match the string passed to Register Device API's sub_model field.
