Overview
System Dumps let an End Customer request a detailed diagnostic report from a Device that can be shared with support engineers to debug complex issues. We recommend implementing this on every Device — it dramatically shortens remote-support cycles.
To support Dumps, define a Custom Command on the Device Model (e.g. dump) that, when invoked, has the Device generate a detailed report and upload it via the Send Dump API.
The End Customer can then download or forward the uploaded file to assist with diagnosis.
